About
Let me tell you just a little about myself. I have been working online for a couple of years now and basically do ‘niche.’ I got into it, not with an aim to make money online, but because I had something to say, a passion to ‘explore’ and liked the unlimited potential the internet offered as a platform.
Marketing is far from new for me, I have almost 20 years experience, mostly offline as a Marketing Manager is a large international company in Baltimore. I have dabbled online for most of the past decade, a little of this and a little of that, mostly on the hobby level. A couple of years ago I decided to get more serious about it and figured with my past experience coupled with learning how to do the online thing, I would give this a shot.
After exploring numerous venues and trying this and that I decided I needed to take some time to learn the ins and outs before wasting anymore time and just heading ‘willy-nilly’ into things I really didn’t know too much about. That was my entrance into the world of Internet Marketing.
I discovered very quickly with skills in Internet Marketing I could open the doors to do anything online and do it better and with more skill than people who didn’t take the time to learn.
So I signed up for email lists and e-courses and downloaded and read and listened and watched. There was and still is a lot of junk and trash out there but if you are smart enough to take the time to weed through the junk, there are gems galore!
So I learned and still learn, it’s an unending ongoing process but if you’re really determined, it’s a journey well worth undertaking as I have discovered through many ups and downs and the rewards can be unlimited!
And yes, I even took a stab at IM a while back and was doing rather well but for having signed up with a dubious hosting company, lost my domain name, website and all the work I had so laboriously put into it. So I decided to take a break for a while and concentrate on the original reason that I started online, my ‘passion’ and now that that is going extremely well, I’ve decided to come back to IM. I enjoy it and for me it’s great fun. Hey, why work hard at something that you don’t enjoy and can’t have fun at?
I’ve been contemplating this for months and keep being drawn back into it. I have knowledge and experience from a ‘real’ level to share. I am not some big IM guru, just an average person who is making it work and hope to be able to offer some help and tips and advise to others out there.
First piece of advise - Do what you love, do what you enjoy… don’t do it just for the money! Passion for money lasts only so long, passion for something you love lasts forever!
